I guess this picture never came out on the last xanga entry.  So here you go.....

*********************************************************************************

So I was saying...........

The good thing about early mornings is that there are so many wonderful picture opportunities available.  If this were taken at any other

time of the day, all the fog would have been "eaten" up by the sun and there would be no sunrays visible shining through them and the trees.

Here's the picture for the new entry.  I LOVE lightnings.  I got lucky on this one.  A beautiful sunset and lightning.  A two for one.

Enjoy!!!

Finally!!! After hearing so much about how there are so many scorpions, tarantualas and other big critters here, this is

the first time that I got to see one and actually keep one as pet.  I found one on the floor of my friend's house.

At the moment that I was taking this picture, i was wishing if I had one of wonny's macro lens.  hehe.

wow, I haven't updated in a while. i still have to finish updating pics from Guatemala but i'll do that when i have more time. i just want to leave u with these.
i was at a beautiful place so i just wanted to share them with y'all.

i was able to capture more lightning pictures again. this time i got a little drenched. I caught the end of the storm while it was
going over me.  I got drenched even though I was in the car because I needed to keep the windows open.  It also hailed that night.

I know this one's kind of blurry but look at all those "vein-like" extensions.

this one was so strong and close that it came out so bright on film.

This was on the way back from a trip that i went with a few buddies of mine. So scenic. I wanted to fish it but didn't have my poles with me.

This was in the morning at the beautiful Ruidoso forest in New Mexico.

There are lots of wildlife and clear running streams with different kinds of trout.  I couldn't get a good shot of them because there wasn't

enough light and they were too far away for me to use my flash.  I think these were elks.  I saw some live ones as well as..........

WARNING: THIS MIGHT BE GRAPHIC TO SOME.  I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE.

A dead one.

I have no idea what this was doing at a parking lot near a lake.  I guess some hunters took just the head as trophy and left the rest of the

body there.  It STANK big time.

The good thing about early mornings is that there are so many wonderful picture opportunities available.  If this were taken at any other

time of the day, all the fog would have been "eaten" up by the sun and there would be no sunrays visible shining through them and the trees.

Can anyone tell me what these are? It looks like hail but they were sparsely dispersed and not all over.  I think it might be from the dew

that drops from the trees that gets frozen during the early morning frost.  Yes, even though this was summer, in such high elevations it was still

really cold in the morning.

I climbed down this trench to see what was down there and Voila, a little paradise.  If I was in a survival setting then i would definitely

follow this down to find some human settlements.  Bear from Man vs. Wild will be proud.  hehe.  I wanted to fish here and I had my

poles but there were only tiny fish in the stream.

There were some water seeping through the walls and were forming a kind of a stalagtite-like formations.

And lastly, some pictures of the fish that I caught in the streams in Ruidoso.  I never seen or caught trout this big from such a small and shallow

stream in my life.  All the lakes and streams up there are stocked because of such a high stress on the fish population and so i never get to see

them get so big because most of them gets fished out while they are still small.  But these guys were hiding in the some deeps pockets in the

stream.  I was so shocked when I pulled out the last one on the bottom.  I didn't let those go to waste as I had a nice fish fry.

This might be TMI (too much info) but I caught the first two at the same place and when I cut them open i found out that one was male and

the other, a female.  I guess they were keeping that one place all to themselves.

This third series is called "La Hospital."

We basically took over a part of a working hospital and utilized its different departments.

This is the clinic where most of the patients came in through.  They saw about 1300 people in 5 days.  There were day trips out to the

villages where they saw an additional 1200 people.  As you can imagine it was very busy.

This is the OR.  It's where I worked most of the time.  I worked as an assistant and as a scrub nurse.  Long, ardous hours but definitely worth it.

These are the adminstrators of the hospital.  The second man is the director of the hospital.

They gave us a warm welcome with the hired band playing some local music as well as familiar tunes from the states.

Series 2 "Man made beauty"

When we first arrived, we stayed at a Westin and it was really nicely decorated and designed.  We stayed here until

all the team members arrived.  Everyone arrived on a Saturday and we were to head on Sunday morning.
